An introduction to the “language” of film, this course familiarizes students with the key elements of cinema: narrative, cinematography, mise-en-scene, editing, and sound. The course will explore the ways in which filmmakers employ the elements of cinema to create meaning. Students may also opt to take the course for college credit.
